Talini's Birthday

Can you believe it? Talini, our polar bear cub, will celebrate her first birthday this November. She has grown a lot during her first year and now weighs 240 lbs. Talini and her mom, Bärle, are thriving out on exhibit at the Arctic Ring of Life. Talini enjoys all sorts of foods including specially formulated polar bear chow, fish, apples, pears, carrots, and sweet potatoes. Watermelons proved to be a favorite treat for both Bärle and Talini this summer. A big birthday celebration is set for Saturday November 19, 2005. Come out to the Zoo and see Talini and Bärle enjoy special birthday treats!!
