Extroverted Introvert

I think it could happen to be an extroverted AS. I'm not aspie, but I consider myself to be an extroverted introvert. I much prefer to just stay home and putter, but I can be outgoing if need be. Once I'm actually around people and know I will be for some time, I do enjoy it. It's convincing myself to get out to begin with that's the hard part! One of my friends' husbands is the same way. The funny thing is, most people see me as an extrovert because I can be gregarious if I have to be. But things like being n a crowd of people I don't know--ugh! In high school I'd pass up going to things if I had to meet my friends there instead of riding with them. Couldn't stand trying to figure out what to do until they got there!
