Guinea Pigs

Broadwing:

Purpose: This protocol was designed to capture a variety of patient and lesion tissue types. There are no strict criteria for enrolling patients in this study. We left it open ended to serve our current research interests with Merck. Right now we are looking to enroll all patients with unilateral multi-vessel disease only. This may change in the future but for now this is what we are looking for.

Patients: Unilateral multi-vessel disease (as of December 2005 – subject to change in 2006) – maximum number of patients ~1500 total

Number of sites: 60

Financial reimbursement: We are currently paying most sites $1500 per patient ( IRB and set-up fees in some cases)

Length of enrollment: As soon as IRB approval is received through December 2006

Study Design: Tissue and blood collection according to approved procedures and training. Straightforward. No study protocol follow up required, we will capture whatever is done normally at the site.

IRB required?: Yes, IRB approval is required because we are collecting patient tissue samples and data for research purposes
